A third-generation bilingual Los Angelino, volleyball has always been an important part of my life. I started playing on the sand while I was still you enough to eat it and my father continues to brag about playing against legends like Karch Karaly and Kareem Abdul-Jabar.
A proud Libero, I took my game indoors to Valencia High School where we won 2 CIF State Championships and started a 112 game winning streak that went from 2001-2013 (a California State record that still stands). I played for an elite club team (Santa Monica Beach Club) and was ranked as a top 10 libero.
In need of exchanging the desert for the trees, I moved to Eugene where I studied and played at Oregon. While there, I coached our Men’s Club team for two years and helped guide us to numerous tournament titles. I also met my future wife, Samantha, while studying abroad in Spain.
I currently work as an Admissions Director for the University of the Pacific and spend most of my time supporting high school students as they make the transition to college. I am truly passionate about supporting the dreams and aspirations of students as they grow towards their future and I believe that sharing the game of Volleyball with others is one of the best ways to do that.

I have been coaching volleyball in Portland for 3 years. I fell in love with the sport in middle school and that love traveled with me through high school, giving me 7 years of playing time. My favorite positions are outside hitter and any spot in the back row. In my free time, I spend time doing things for my business, Noetic Plants, and focus on building my green thumb. I’m excited for the upcoming season and look forward to building relationships with each player and enhancing their skills.
